Biking and walking in Everett since May 4th, 1893.
People had been walking and riding bikes in Everett for ten years before the Ford Motor Company was founded in 1903. Turns out human legs were pretty good at moving us around.
We are people who feel fortunate to have the use of our legs and like to put them to productive use in moving our bodies from place to place. We are your neighbors, your friends, your co-workers, and your family members. We are also representatives of future generations. We probably own cars and drive them too, but we want better and safer transportation options for the times that we would prefer to leave our motor vehicles at home. We want to be healthy and active, and we want to live in a community with other healthy and active people.
After more than ten years riding bikes and walking in Everett, the Rourke family decided to start a community association made up of other walkers and bike riders of all ages and abilities. We hope you'll join us and help steer Everett toward a more human powered future.
